World Bird Wednesday & Nature Notes - Aftermath of Christmas

How could anyone, ANYONE, think I wanted a
frying pan for Christmas????

What about a holiday, a diamond bracelet? Huh?
A b..... frying pan!!!

Well, who do you think wants a dressing gown??

I wanted golf clubs!

Huh, another happy holiday!

I hope you all did better than these two Welcome Swallows!

  1. Lovely photos! I had to laugh at how realistic your 'argument' probably is! I hope the new year brings more peace than that!

  2. LOL! Except, I remember telling my (x) husband not to get me any more kitchen appliances for Christmas, or else.

    Great captures.

Hope you've continue to enjoy all the days to come, holiday or not. Hugs.

  14. I have no doubt that very similar arguments were heard the world over. I myself was less than gracous when given an iron for my birthday one year.
They were brilliant captures of the swallows vocalising - thank you.

  16. Funny! Love those Swallows, they are at top 5 of favorite birds! I received gift cards and while that is really sweet, it only takes a little bit of creativity to figure out a nice gift...or better yet...gift cards, are great! Happy New Year Blessings~

  18. I loved this post Arija. Great commentary to make me smile, and great photos! Thanks for stopping by. To answer your question I am not sure if that was supposed to be a Melton Mowbray pie. I am not sure if you read my Mount Vernon post as this was in the kitchen area and all the food was fake. I will have to investigate further about that pie though. Happy New Year :)

  21. LOL!! I love this series, your narration is perfect! (Reminds me of the year my dad gave my mom a toaster oven for her birthday and she raised the roof!) I love the look the male is giving you over his shoulder in the last photo, as if to say, "Do you MIND? This is a private conversation! %&#@ paparazzi." :-)
