SkyWatch ~ Sunrise Rainbow

In my three score years and ten I had never seen
a rainbow at sunrise until this one came along.
*
*
The gold of the sunrise still bathes the land as
the rainbow becomes clearer
*
*
and as the effect of the sunrise fades, the colours
strengthen against the rain clouds
*
*
until the full arc spreads across the sky.
*

*
Snapped with my funny little shoe phone.
*
The sky is free for all to see, for other skies click the Logo.
*
Thanks to the wonderful Skywatch Team we can all join in with
this fun and informative meme.

'Shoe phone harkens back to an old TV series called Get Smart where the anti-hero Max and his glamorous assistant 99 are pitted against Russian spies. Max has a phone in his shoe at a time when mobile phones were not yet invented. It was a popular comedy series intended for family viewing and a spoof on James Bond, Inspector Clouseau and the cold war.

  10. Arija, dearest, blogger has enabled a spam filter to filter out all spam/porn comments. Have you seen it? It works just great and you don't need to use word verification anymore! It sends all the spam to the spam folder, even if you have your comment moderation set to moderate comments on posts older than x amount of days. I have mine set to moderate comments on posts older than 3 days and it still sends the current spam straight to the spam folder! No one ever sees it but you! It is so awesome!

  11. I don't think I've ever noticed a rainbow at sunrise either, but then I'm not up and about for many sunrises - that's the price I pay for being a night owl. So, thanks for sharing this.

  16. lovely shots - so thankful you had your shoe-phone at the ready! I cannot remember seeing a rainbow at sunrise but that could be due to the fact that I'm rarely out of my cocoon until well after the sun has risen.

  18. These are wonderful rainbow shots. What a treat to see them.

Thanks for your tip about putting a wet towel on your head in the heat. That's a great idea. I'll have to try that. I used to have a shower on my deck and I'd get wet that way in the summer. I still have the shower but never got repairs done years ago when it needed it and at this point I've let the vines cover the shower head.
